The Organization

 

Freedom Firm seeks to eliminate child prostitution in India by providing rescue, restoration, and justice for victims of sex trafficking.

 

This is accomplished in three ways. First, by identifying victims and perpetrators of sex trafficking.

 

Second, mobilizing law enforcement agencies to rescue victims and arrest perpetrators, while assisting the legal system during prosecution. Third, enabling rescued girls to engage in effective rehabilitation.

The Problem:

 

Freedom Firm’s operating budget had limited long-term predictability and repetition of private donations.

 

Previous fundraising tactics were inconsistent and Freedom Firm was unable to create financial projections needed for growth. Freedom Firm had no budget for any new strategies or marketing efforts.

Social Media - Why? Series

The Mission: Develop a strategy that increases Freedom Firm's operating budget by 25% year-over-year with no upfront cost to Freedom Firm. This strategy was branded as $10for12, which asked private donors to give $10 dollars a month for 12 months.

Social Media - The Ask

The Strategy: Content production and social media/email marketing of $10for12. Volunteer activation within universities and churches to promote $10for12. Sales promotion through Ruhama, a sister company that sells jewelry made by the rescued girls.

Social Media - How? Series

The Win: The “digital only” campaign exceeded expectations, with more than a 25% increase in private donations, the main source of Freedom Firm's revenue. $10for12 was Freedom Firm’s first effective online campaign.
